Heyaaa! This update brings a code system to VRD as has been heavily requested since lots of other dance worlds have it too! Each video now has a unique code that is guaranteed to never change. At the top right you can press the "Enter Code" button to enter a code. Furthermore, lots of quality of life, bugfixes and some visual additions. Bit delayed due to covid but here it is!!
- Added a system to select videos by a code.
- At the top right of the DB menu you can press the "Enter Code" button which reveals a panel to enter codes.
- VRD video codes are guaranteed to never change or shift, they are permanent for those who want to learn a few by heart.
- The code to a video is displayed when a video is selected, it is also displayed above the videoplayer.
- The codes can also be found in our public database, useful for song requests on streams: https://vrdancing.club/database
- Tweaked both the simple and advanced database UI mode to improve readability.
- You can now press the "H" button to immediately go into Director mode. Useful if you took of your headset, are sitting at your desk and want to see the people dancing, just press H and you'll get a view of the dancefloor.
- Added AudioLink to a few lights in the world, this is on by default and can be toggled off in the settings menu.
- @Chatmans added community references and some themed assets for SlyFest!
- Added tooltips explaining the keyboard shortcuts VRD offers.
- Fixed healthwarning not displaying anymore on the database.
- Fixed player leave notifications incorrectly displaying that someone was a desktop user.
- Fixed breaktimer not mirroring when all UI was set to be mirrored.
- Fixed incorrect tooltips in database UI.
- Fixed misaligned logo's in the large room variant.
- Fixed a bug where people always had to repair when joining late, videoplayer will initialise after a small delay.
- Fixed a bug that required you to activate preview mode first before enabling desktop video output in the Director, otherwise the camera wouldn't update.
- Simplified camera drone behaviour, it will no longer start flying when you are watching TV or at the preview panel. It only starts flying if someone is actually actively in Director mode and outputting the camera to their desktop.
- Fixed a bug that would cause camera drone positions to be completely incorrect.
- Fixed a bug that would cause the camera drone to get stuck after the instance had been up for a long time.
- Fixed a bug that would cause the camera drone sync to be significantly delayed in crowded instances.
- Fixed pickups not being visible in mirrors.
- Director system uses way less bandwidth now.
- Security updates.
- Updated QVPens, sync should be a bit better and its possible to write on surfaces now. If you want to draw in the air again after drawing on a surface, drop and pickup the pen. You can disable this feature with one of the buttons where the pen spawns.
- Updated Patreon bench.
- Updated loadingscreen quotes.
- Struggled through covid lol.
- @megumi added 4 new background mixes! Two existing ones from @Anks and @medlish and also a brand new DnB and a new Synthwave mix by @medlish! More background mixes will be added in over the following weeks as we convert our old videos to use the new logo!
- Database update! **We are now at 7K+ curated videos!** @megumi added tons of new suggestions and newly released content! @Scolly a series of broken links. @MinzLeaf added all the new custom timers made by the community. @Silentt. kept our CDN up-to-date. Thank you all!!
