v2.3.0

Well this turned into a huge update haha! Was a super productive week, learned a lot about audio and had a lot of fun making some new interactive systems and polishing existing ones. Enjoy!

As the end of the year draws nearer and first anniversary of the VRDancing community approaches, the dancing venue is becoming a bit more festive. The janitor bought some candy canes and bought a radio so we can finally listen to our beautiful community theme song!

A lot of maintenance was done to the building, the walls are finally no longer made out of cardboard and now properly insulate sound! We'd like to mention that: contrary to recent rumours spreading, this maintenance was performed because of noise complaints regarding dancers playing music upstairs. Nothing else...

Audio Update

- Added voice occlusion, if there is a wall between you and someone else then their voice will sound muffled.

- Cyphers upstairs are now possible without disturbing the people on the dancefloor.

- Added global admin/master setting for the strength of this occlusion, want more privacy or want to be able to hear everything? You can set it globally in the admin panel.

- Added mute buttons at both TVs, you can now toggle the audio of the videoplayer off both upstairs and downstairs, this is global. Audio fades in and out accordingly as you walk through the world.

- Added a globally synced radio featuring the beautiful VRDancing Themesong by @Optimistic Nihilist, @Ayeton and @FatalZodiac

- Added an intercom system upstairs, use the intercom to yell at the people on the dancefloor. Hold the button, wait a bit and start your TED Talk.

- @megumi added additional mixes by @medlish! Thank you! She also changed the colour scheme of the videos to match with the world.

- Added a system that plays randomised background music upon joining the world and after nothing has been played for a long time.

- Added a global admin/master setting to set how long it takes for background music to start, can also be turned off.

- Added a system for adding global equalisers and filters for audio.

- @Chatmans added meshes for the intercom system and the radio!

- Tweaked all audiosources in the world to be correctly spatialised and more immersive.

- Improved all audio compression for better filesize and performance.

- The PAIN1 and PAIN2 postprocessing sets now also change your audio perception...

_ _

- A TON of network optimisation, lots of objects that did not need to be synced are now not synced, which improves CPU frametime.

- Added integration for @Natsumi's fork of VRCX, soon to be incorporated into their VRCX release! Using VRCX will then show on Discord when you are in VRDancing, what video is playing and how far you are into that video!

- Added a CandyCane prop made by @bp326! Thank you!

- Updated the security camera system, better visuals and audio.

- Updated the posterboard upstairs! Has anyone seen my good friend Demon?

- Compressed the frick out of everything, reduced worldsize by 20 MB!

- Made the posterboard a 4K texture so its much more readable. (this is why I needed to start compressing again lol)

- @Chatmans added a community reference.

- Improved the laserpointers, collision now looks better and now also renders correctly on top of UI.

- Fixed middle line on dancefloor not appearing correctly in each configuration.
